FAITH FORMATION GROUPS

Prepares parents prior to the Baptism of their child for the responsibility of raising a family in the Catholic Church.  Baptismal preparation classes take place the first Sunday of each month from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. by trained Catechists.

BAPTISMAL PREPARATION

ELEMENTARY PRE-K TO 5TH GRADE

Our family-based program, Families Forming Disciples, supports parents in their role as primary teachers of the faith in the home.  parents and children attend sessions throughout the school year in English or Spanish.  these sessions are meant to foster a living conversion to Christ through lifelong Faith Formation.

FIRST RECONCILIATION & FIRST COMMUNION

Prepares students over two consecutive years to receive First Reconciliation and First Communion, typically beginning in the 1st grade and concluding in the 2nd grade.  In addition to the basic Faith Formation sessions, first and second year students and their parents participate in sacramental session , a Church tour and Family Faith Encounters to complete their preparation to receive the Sacraments.

YOUTH MINISTRY PROGRAM
(6TH TO 12TH GRADE)

6th - 8th GRADE  Meets the educational, spiritual, emotional and social needs of our middle school teens and fosters an environment where the youth participate in the larger parish community.  Summer programming includes service projects, social gatherings and EDGE Camp.

9th - 12th GRADE  Evangelized, catechizes and equips our teens to serve as Christian witnesses, using the LIFETEEN program and other resources.  Teens are offered opportunities to encounter Christ, provided sessions on Church teaching and Sacraments, helped to build a strong faith community and empowered to reach out and evangelize others.  High School catechesis is conducted during the school year.  Life Teen Mass is celebrated Sundays at 4:30 p.m.

TEEN CONFIRMATION  - Forms students beginning in 9th grade through a two-year foundational religious educational program.  During the second year, students also attend sacramental formation classes and a Confirmation retreat.

QUINCEAÑERA MASS

Is celebrated on Saturdays at 1:00 p.m.. To celebrate a Quinceañera Mass, a parent needs to fill out the online form at least 6 months before the date on which the Mass is to be celebrated and not to make any preparations until the date i confirmed. the family must be registered at Holy Trinity and active in the Church, as well as attending Sunday Mass. The quinceañera must have received the Sacraments of Baptism and First Communion and must be registered to and attending Faith Formation classes. She and a parent must attend the 3 quinceañera preparation classes.

QUINCEAÑERA PREPARATION

Prepares young Catholic women who, along with family and friends, wish to celebrate their fifteenth birthday with a Mass. the quinceañera and a parent-guardian must attend three classes (in Spanish). these are offered once or twice a year.

ADULT FAITH FORMATION

Aims to enhance the faith dimensions of an adult life, including understanding and communicating the faith, developing skills needed for personal growth, enriching the experience of relationships and of family life, promoting public service and fostering concern for the common good. Offerings include, but are not limited to, Bible studies, book studies, guest speakers, parish missions, retreats, prayer, men’s groups, women’s groups, young adult group, seniors’ group, couples’ events and stewardship opportunities. Offerings change seasonally.

MARRIAGE PREPARATION

Offers programs for engaged couples. They meet with a parish Priest or Deacon to discuss the marriage covenant, including the sacramental nature of marriage and its importance as a life-long bond. Multiple pre-marriage courses are available; the Deacon or Priest will work with the couple to determine which course will work best for them.

ORDER OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS - OCIA

The process by which individuals learn more about the Catholic Faith and, if they so desire, become Catholic themselves. Prepares those in formation to receive the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist, and invites them to participate in the various Rites and rituals of the Church. The OCIA ENGLISH program meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. The class is also offered in SPANISH on Sunday afternoons, 12:00 - 1:30 p.m.
